Day Spa Scheduling and Booking from the convenience of a mobile app
The Challenge
As the Luxe Skin Day Spa was opening their new high-end day spa on North Washington Avenue in Naperville, they knew they needed a better way to allow their clientele to easily make and manage appointments. Without a mobile app, they would be:
- Handling more appointments via phone – tying up resources
- Having to manage cancellations manually

The Solution
Because scheduling software is readily available as off-the-shelf software, Plaidypus first worked with Luxe Skin to determine which software would best fit their operation. They landed on Booker by MindBody. One of the critical benefits of Booker, beyond its core functionality, was that they supported an Application Programming Interface (API) – which meant we could build a mobile app on top of it. We did not want to build scheduling software for Luxe Skin with so many off-the-shelf options available, so Booker really fit the bill.
Within a matter of about 8 weeks, we were able to deliver a fully functional mobile app built on top of the Booker platform. As they rolled the mobile app out to customers, it allowed:
- Customers to make and manage appointments
- See schedules of Luxe Skin personnel
- Add and manage saved payment methods (credit cards)
